Could the 2010 Celtics Be the New 2004 Red Sox?

Could the 2010 Celtics Be the New 2004 Red Sox? Back in 2004, the Boston Red Sox 40-man roster featured a unique chemistry on and off the field. In fact, their camaraderie was so much fun to witness, the squad was fondly known as "The Idiots."

This year, the Boston Celtics are putting together their own distinctive grouping of players. With the original Big Three leading the way, backed by Shrek and Donkey (also known as Glen Davis and Nate Robinson), the Celtics are certain to put on a show this season.

The team's most recent addition of Delonte West will add another level of excitement to the team. West is a born competitor, and he's proved to the Celtics organization that he can handle the enthusiasm the Garden fans bring to each and every game.

Since his last appearance in Celtic green, West has been involved in quite a bit of controversy off the court, including a rumor that involves LeBron James' mother. His extracurriculars excluded, Celtics fans know this guy can bring intensity to the court. And that may be just what they need to add to their team chemistry this season.

WEEI's Mike Adams stopped in for Thursday's edition of NESN Daily to add his own colorful comments about West's return to Boston.

Check out his commentary below.
