Mike Lowell is not in the starting lineup one day after taking a ground ball off his right temple as the Red Sox prepare to face the New York Yankees on Saturday.

Lowell was replaced at first base by rookie Lars Anderson after the incident in the fifth inning of Boston's 10-8 win Friday night. Anderson gets the start at first in Saturday's tilt.

Jed Lowrie is back in at shortstop after going 4-for-4 with a three-run homer Friday. Ryan Kalish and Daniel Nava, both of whom sat in the series opener, are starting in center field and left field, respectively.

Boston will be facing Yankees rookie Ivan Nova, who has never pitched against the Sox.
