Jerry Remy and Don Zimmer Discuss Red Sox-Yankees Rivalry The Red Sox Hall of Fame is stacked with incredible MLB legends, including NESN broadcaster and former Sox second baseman Jerry Remy.

Joining Remy in the Hall of Fame is former Red Sox manager Don Zimmer, who stopped in during Red Sox Gameday Live to talk about his time managing Remy in Boston. Zimmer was inducted as one of the newest members of the Red Sox Hall of Fame, and was honored in a pregame ceremony Friday evening.

Zimmer managed the Red Sox from 1976-1980, and led the team to their miraculous 99-win season in 1978. Unfortunately that season, the legendary hit of Bucky Dent lost the Red Sox' the AL East division title in a one-game playoff against the Yankees.

Both Zimmer and Remy remember their time in Boston fondly, and Zimmer said he has followed Remy's NESN career closely, and is very impressed that he's still calling the game he loves.
