Joe Colborne Begins His Professional Hockey Career in Providence 2008 Boston Bruins first-round pick Joe Colborne played a lot of hockey in 2010.

After the Calgary native notched 41 points in 39 games for University of Denver in his sophomore season, Colborne signed with the Bruins and made his professional debut for the AHL's Providence Bruins shortly thereafter.

The 20-year-old played six games for Providence in 2010, notching two points in six games while getting his first taste of pro hockey.

"The couple weeks I spent there really just made you even more thirsty to keep going," Colborne said of his time in Providence.
