Since losing four straight from July 18-Aug. 4, the southpaw has won four of five starts as well as his last two straight, and he is the recipient of this week's Amica Pitcher of the Week.
Despite giving up five earned runs in his most recent start against the Orioles, Lester tallied 10 strikeouts for the second straight outing and led the Sox to a 9-6 win. Last week, Lester struck out 10 Rays in a winning effort and held the Tampa Bay lineup to just two hits over seven innings.
Lester now has a 15-8 record to go with a 3.27 ERA in 27 starts this year.
