EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman will make his 2010 debut Sunday against the Jets, but Danny Woodhead's storybook week won't have a vengeful ending.

Edelman has been battling a foot injury for the last month, but he's active Sunday. Woodhead, who was cut by the Jets on Tuesday and signed by the Patriots on Saturday, is among New England's eight inactive players.

Offensive lineman Nick Kaczur (back) and cornerback Terrence Wheatley (foot) are missing their second consecutive games due to injury. Wide receiver Taylor Price, linebacker Dane Fletcher, offensive lineman Quinn Ojinnaka, defensive lineman Brandon Deaderick and offensive lineman Steve Maneri are all inactive for the second straight game, too, but none of them were listed on the injury report.

Edelman is the only member of the Patriots who is playing Sunday after missing the season opener against the Bengals.

The Patriots are only carrying seven offensive linemen into this game. Mark LeVoir is the only backup tackle, and Ryan Wendell is the lone reserve interior lineman.
