There may not be playoff baseball in Boston this year, but there will be playoff soccer, as the Boston Breakers host the Philadelphia Independence on Thursday night at Soldiers Field Soccer Stadium.
The Breakers head into the WPS playoffs with the second-most points in the league at 36.
The team will have some veteran leadership, as Kelly Smith leads the team in goals and the world's all time international caps leader Kristine Lilly contributing with three goals and three shots of her own.
Win or lose, Lilly will be giving fans a tour of her house on Friday on After The Gam: Work Hard, Live Well, Give Backe, which airs at 5:30 p.m. on NESN.
