USC Handles Hawaii As Matt Barkley Shines in Lane Kiffin's Trojan Debut College football is off and running.

Or, if you're USC Trojans quarterback Matt Barkley, you're off and throwing.

Barkley and wide receiver Ronald Johnson kicked off the 2010 NCAA college football season with a bang on Thursday night in Hawaii as the duo tallied record-setting numbers in their 49-36 win over the Warriors.

Barkley had 257 yards passing and tied a school record with five TD passes while Johnson matched a USC mark with his three TD catches.

Despite the win, Kiffin wasn't entirely pleased with his first victory as a Trojan.

"We didn't do it in the style that we wanted. We want to be tough, we want to be disciplined," he told The Associated Press. "I thought we were tough today. I thought that we played physical in parts of the game, but we weren't disciplined."
