Patriots fan Jeffrey Chartier, who suffered a heart attack during the season opener against the Bengals, was pronounced dead at Caritas Norwood Hospital Sunday afternoon.
The Chicopee, Mass., native, was attending the game with his six-year-old son was stricken just a half-hour before the game was scheduled to begin. The 40-year-old was sitting near the south end zone of Gillette Stadium when he suffered the heart attack.
