Peyton Manning and Favored Colts Will Take Manning Bowl II From Eli and Giants It may take another four years before the younger Manning beats up on his big brother.

Week 2 of the NFL is jam-packed with exciting matchups, and everyone will be tuning in to see if this will be the year little bro Eli will take the Manning Bowl from big brother Peyton. While it sounds like a nice concept, it will take another four years for Eli to top Hall of Fame-destined Peyton, especially on the Colts’ home turf.

While Eli is no longer the green quarterback he was in the first Manning Bowl — playing in his first full NFL season — he’s still playing his first-ever game at the Lucas Oil Stadium. It won’t be easy playing in uncharted territory, especially against the Colts, who will be gunning for a win in their home opener.

They may have suffered an embarrassing 34-24 loss last week in Houston, but it’s almost impossible to picture Indianapolis starting their season 0-2. Normally a team gunning from the get-go, the Colts haven’t gone 0-2 since Peyton’s rookie season and it’s not going to happen this year.

The last Manning Bowl was won by the Colts in 2006, and both brothers have since won a Super Bowl ring, which proves Eli has grown up a bit in the professional game. However, Peyton is still too good, and the Manning Bowl 2010 will tip to 2-0 in favor of the Colts.

You’ll just have to wait until 2014, little brother.

Does Eli have what it takes to overcome his big brother? Or will Peyton and the Colts rebound from their Week 1 loss and win their home opener? Share your opinions below.
