Randy Moss is at a point in his career that all wide receivers in the NFL hope to be at some day.

His 34-yard, one-handed catch before the end of the first half in Sunday’s game against the New York Jets put him among the great playmakers in NFL history to score at least 150 touchdowns in their careers. The list includes Jerry Rice (208 TDs), Emmitt Smith (175), LaDainian Tomlinson (153) and Moss (150). Moss is three touchdowns ahead of Terrell Owens, and no other active player even comes close.

Although he was held to two catches for a measly total of 38 yards in Sunday’s game, Moss has this milestone to be proud of. After the game, however, Moss wasn’t in the mood to feel sentimental.

“I was just making a play,” he said in his postgame news conference. “My job is to go out here and move the ball and score touchdowns. I don’t think I did a good job of that today.”

All of Moss’ touchdowns come from receiving except one, which he scored on a punt return in 1999. The only question now is if he has enough fuel left in his engines to surpass the great Jerry Rice.
