The Red Sox did not adjust their lineup one bit after learning that the Yankees had shuffled their rotation by installing Phil Hughes into the starting spot Sunday night.
Manager Terry Francona said he considered some of the matchups that might change with the removal of Dustin Moseley in favor of Hughes, but decided to keep the order intact.
A handful of Red Sox hitters may have been happy to hear that Hughes, who was originally bumped from Sunday's start, had returned to his regular turn in the rotation. J.D. Drew, Victor Martinez and David Ortiz, the 2-3-4 hitters in Francona's lineup, are a collective 15-for-31 (.484) with two home runs, eight RBIs and six walks against Hughes.
Lars Anderson will be making his second straight start at first base for Boston as Mike Lowell continues to rest after taking a grounder off his head in Friday's opener. Francona said Lowell would be available to come off the bench if needed.
