Report: Giants, Bills, Raiders Looking to Acquire Matt Leinart From Cardinals

Derek Anderson will be starting his second consecutive preseason game for the Arizona Cardinals, indicating that he has wrested the job from Matt Leinart's grasp.

Leinart isn't too happy about that.

After Kurt Warner's retirement, most expected Leinart, the quarterback in waiting, to become the starter, Despite his 83 percent completion rate in the preseason, that appears not to be the case.

As a result, the relationship between the Heisman winner and team is wearing thin, and the Cardinals have had discussions with the New York Giants, Buffalo Bills and Oakland Raiders about trades, reports ESPN.com.

While the Giants and Raiders have established starting quarterbacks, Buffalo's situation remains up in the air — with many expecting them to draft Jake Locker or Andrew Luck in 2011.

Coach Ken Whisenut and Leinart discussed their relationship on Monday.

"We obviously touched base on where everything was," Whisenhunt said, "which
I've always said I wanted. If players have an issue or a problem to come
see me. We had communicated before about where we were and obviously we
needed to talk a little bit more, but it was a good talk."
