T.J. Houshmandzadeh was supposed to be Seattle's go-to receiver when he signed with the team before the 2009 season.
Just one year later, it appears that the relationship will come to an end, reports the Seattle Examiner. The receiver caught 79 passes for 911 yards last season, but the team struggled mightily.
Now, under the new Pete Carroll regime, the team is looking to start fresh with young talents Mike Williams, Golden Tate and Deon Butler catching passes.
Housh's contract is expensive, and the Vikings, Jets, Cardinals and Chargers are the apparent suitors that the Seahawks are targeting to dump it on.
It's unclear, though, why the Jets would need another big-name receiver.
If they cannot reach a deal with one of those teams, the Seahawks will simply release Houshmandzadeh.
