Struggling rookie Ryan Kalish will make just his second start in the last five games for the Red Sox when they take on the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday.

Kalish enters with a .228 average and has just three hits in his last 31 at-bats since slugging his first career grand slam against the Angels back on Aug. 17.

He will be joined in the outfield by two others mired in slumps. Left fielder Daniel Nava hit 4-for-26 (.154) in August and right fielder J.D. Drew finished the month at .198 (18-for-91) after going 0-for-12 in the final three games.

Second baseman Jed Lowrie, who provided all the scoring in Tuesday's 5-2 loss with a two-run homer, is batting sixth for the first time all season.
