Terry Francona Utilizes Same Boston Lineup Heading Into Series Finale With Baltimore

It's been extremely rare to see Red Sox manager Terry Francona fill out the same lineup card two days in a row, but that's the case Thursday as the club finishes a three-game series in Baltimore.

Who could blame Francona after the way the lineup performed one night before?

Following five straight games scoring three runs or fewer, the Sox broke out for nine runs in a desperately needed win. Marco Scutaro had a two-run homer and Adrian Beltre a three-run bomb to highlight a six-run rally in the seventh.

Those two are a combined 9-for-25 (.360) against Baltimore starter Brad Bergesen. J.D. Drew is 5-for-12 (.417) with a pair of homers and four RBIs vs. the righty.

Boston will have six batters swinging from the left side against Bergesen. Lefties have hit .323 against him this year, compared to .275 for right-handers.

Here is the complete lineup for the Red Sox, who will have Daisuke Matsuzaka on the mound:

Marco Scutaro, SS
J.D. Drew, RF
Victor Martinez, C
David Ortiz, DH
Adrian Beltre, 3B
Jed Lowrie, 2B
Mike Lowell, 1B
Daniel Nava, LF
Ryan Kalish, CF
