Alex Elkins never played high school football, but he's about to play in the Big 12.

The 6-foot-4, 235-pound linebacker walked onto the Blinn College (Texas) football team after impressing coaches during a one-day camp in 2009.

Now, Elkins is transferring to Oklahoma State University, according to newsok.com

Elkins is a tremendous athlete with 4.55 speed, a 355-pound bench and 500-pound squat.

"He's only played 17 football and for him to get the attention and recruiting he's gotten says a lot," Blinn head coach Brad Franchione told newsok.com. "The best football for him is in front of him."
