Boston Marathon Registration Begins for 2011 Race

We're in for a long, cold winter in New England, but it's time to start setting sights on the finish line — specifically, the one outside of Copley Square.

Registration for the 2011 Boston Marathon began on Monday on the Boston Athletic Association website. The race will take place in exactly six months, on April 18, 2011.

Those who want to register better do so soon, as CBSNews.com reports that the field will be capped at 22,790 competitors.
