Brian Wilson Lets C.J. Wilson Know 'The Machine' Will Have His Say, Make Appearance Brian Wilson and the San Francisco Giants are heading to the World Series, and he’s getting a special friend involved too.

Wilson, the often bizarre closer for the Giants, has made a name for himself with his strange hair and interview style that falls somewhere between that of Kenny Powers and Ron Burgundy, but his signature move is the trotting out of his good friend “The Machine” during interviews.

Who is The Machine? That’s a tough question, but we do know what he wears — a leather costume that covers his head, waist area and not much else.

The Machine first was mentioned on Jim Rome is Burning earlier this season, when Wilson pretended to get a phone call on his cordless phone from the legendary figure before bringing The Machine’s outfit out of his back pocket. He appeared thereafter in the background of an interview on Cheap Seats, in which Wilson played dumb and pretended he had no clue what was going on.

Now, Wilson has said that The Machine will have his say in the World Series. Rangers pitcher C.J. Wilson called Brian Wilson out via Twitter following San Francisco’s NLCS clincher, to which the Giants’ closer responded, “I think The Machine will say all there is to say when he makes an appearance again.”

That, surely, will be an epic event.
