Bruins Host Military Night Nov. 15, Mark Stuart, Blake Wheeler Donate $5,000 Worth of Tickets

The Boston Bruins will host its Military Appreciation Night on Monday, Nov. 15 at the TD Garden where the Bruins face the New Jersey Devils.

Local military members, veterans and their families will be honored throughout the night with photo montages on the Garden HDX, zamboni rides and video messages, a select few will have the opportunity to shake hands with the team as they leave the locker room during intermissions.

Bruins Mark Stuart and Blake Wheeler will each purchase $5,000 worth of tickets to the game, all of which will go directly to local military members and their families.

If Bruins fans want to join Stuart and Wheeler in the donation effort, they can do so through the "Seats for Soldiers" program. Through the program, fans can purchase specially priced $99 lower level seats and $50 upper level seats which will be donated to the United Services Organization of New England. Fans can purchase tickets here.

Monetary donations will also be accepted for Operation Homefront New England to send care packages to military members from New England currently serving overseas. A $20 donation is enough for a full care package.

The Boston Bruins Foundation will also hold a special silent auction of sticks used in the night's warm-ups that they wrapped in camouflage tape. After warm-ups, each player will sign their stick, which will be taken to Level 4 for the auction.

Also being auctioned off will be six camouflage, autographed jerseys of Patrice Bergeron, Zdeno Chara, Nathan Horton, David Krejci, Tuukka Rask and Tyler Seguin. All proceeds from the auctions will go to Homes of Our Troops.
