Chris Bosh may be the third option on the Miami Heat, but he’s still a big enough star to be recognized by President Barack Obama.

On Monday, Bosh, along with teammate Dwyane Wade, attended a fundraiser at the Coral Gables home of Alonzo Mourning in support of Democratic U.S. Representative Ron Klein. Beefing up the efforts of Klein's reelection campaign, Obama joined the dinner party and delivered a speech about the South Florida congressman.

But before he started talking politics, Obama and Bosh met for the first time, and to Bosh's surprise, the president recognized him without needing a proper introduction, according to The Associated Press.

"It was cool," Bosh told the AP.

And according to the transcript by the White House, Obama also enjoyed meeting the Heat stars.

"Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, I wish you the best of luck when you're not playing the Bulls," Obama joked. "I just want to be clear about that. I like you. But when you're playing the Bulls, I'm rooting against you."
