FOXBORO, Mass. — When the Patriots acquired Deion Branch this week, there were many questions in New England as to how long it would take former Pats receiver to get up to speed with Tom Brady and the rest of the offense. As it turns out, it didn't take very long.
The receiver caught a touchdown pass from Brady 3:58 into the fourth quarter to cut a Ravens lead to 20-17.
The touchdown was scored on a third-and-goal from the 5-yard line. Brady bought time in the pocket, and Branch eventually found some space streaking across the back of the end zone.
Branch was not on the field for the Pats' play on second down, nor was Wes Welker. Both receivers were on the field for the touchdown play.
The catch was Branch's third of the day, and he already has scored as many touchdowns for the Patriots than he did in four games with the Seahawks.
