Even Tom Brady Wishes World Series Games Started Earlier For years, Average Joe Baseball Fan and Angry Sports Columnist Guy have yearned for earlier start times to World Series games. Now, they're getting some celebrity support.

That's coming from Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, a native of the Bay Area who won't be able to stay up late to watch his Giants play in the World Series. That makes the rich, powerful quarterback feel similarly to the aforementioned critics.

"There's no way I'm staying up for that long," he said Tuesday on WEEI's Dennis and Callahan Show. "I don't know why they start so late. How do they get the kids [to watch]?"

When the hosts blamed West Coast residents like Brady, the quarterback denied any such responsibility.

"I haven't lived on the West Coast for 15 years!" he said.
