The UFL will be getting a new team in Virginia for the 2011 season, but the name of that team is still unknown.

Doug Williams, a former Super Bowl-winning quarterback with the Washington Redskins and current GM of the new Virginia expansion team, unveiled the three possible names on his "UFL Countdown to Kickoff" show Monday afternoon on WXTG-FM 102.1 "The Game" in Virginia Beach.

Fans will get to vote on whether they want their team to be named the Virginia Destroyers, Virginia Tritons and Virginia Navigators as part of the "Your Town, Your Team, Your Name – You Make the Call" fan poll until Oct. 17.

Williams was on hand during Saturday night’s game between the Omaha Nighthawks and Sacramento Mountain Lions at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha. He was immediately enthralled by the positive atmosphere Nighthawks fans showed towards their team.

"We want to see first-hand, and I think we’ve seen first-hand that if you want to do it, you want to do it right," Williams told UFL.com. "The Nighthawks certainly have done it right. What you see is what you’re really looking for. I think we can create the same type of atmosphere."
