Over a dozen investigatiors are looking into a shooting that killed a Pace University football player and Easton, Mass. native on Sunday morning.
Mount Pleasant (NY) Police Chief Louis Algano told The Boston Globe on Monday that his force is investigating a case in which one of his officers opened fired on and killed Danroy Henry early Sunday morning.
Henry, 20, was shot to death by a Mount Pleasant (NY) police officer on Sunday morning in Thornwood, N.Y. The Massachusetts native attempted to escape officer Aaron Hess, but was shot to death through the windshield when he attemtped to run down Hess.
Mount Pleasant Police Chief Louis Algano told The Globe on Tuesday that four of his officers were on the case in addition to 10 New York State troopers.
Algano also said that he and his team were "very interested" in talking to Brandon Cox, who was also in the car with Henry when he was killed. Cox, 20, is also from Easton.
The newspaper is also reporting that Cox told reporters on Monday that the actions of Henry did not warrant deadly force on the part of the police.
