FOXBORO, Mass. — It was a quiet Friday afternoon in the Patriots’ locker room, but a couple of players were given a chance to respond to Randy Moss‘ jab at the New England defense.

Predictably, the Patriots passed on getting into a war of words.

On Thursday, Vikings tight end Visanthe Shiancoe told the Boston Herald that Moss told his new teammates there are “a lot of vulnerabilities” in the Patriots’ defense.

“I have nothing to say about that,” Patriots cornerback Darius Butler said. “Whatever he says about our defense is what he says. I haven’t even heard what he said.”

“He [can] say whatever he wants to say,” Pats safety Sergio Brown said. “We’ve just got to do our job the best we can and worry about us.”
