Week 8 NFL Power Rankings Have Patriots Third Among Five AFC Teams Leading Pack This week's power rankings are featuring the same top-five teams as the last edition, but the Patriots used a big victory to leapfrog their rival Colts. It's still an AFC-heavy league, and a big jump from the Titans gave the conference six of the top-seven teams in this week's rankings.

Elsewhere, there are some big questions in New Orleans, while Dallas received an answer it didn’t want, and that was in the form of its 2010 death notice.

Also, while the AFC East and AFC North are well-represented in the top five, the NFC West has a remarkably poor showing, as the division-leading Seahawks are at No. 18 and the other three teams are stuck in the bottom seven.
