The Providence Bruins are going to be looking extra fly to start the upcoming season.

The P-Bruins will wear special Rhode Island Reds jerseys in their season opener against the Springfield Falcons on Friday, Oct. 8 at 7:05 p.m. at the Dunkin' Donuts Center.

As a celebration of the AHL's 75th season, Providence and Springfield, two of the original six AHL cities, will wear commemorative jerseys for a home-and-home series that concludes on Saturday, Oct. 9 at the MassMutual Center. Springfield will be donning classic Springfield Indians jerseys.

The P-Bruins will then auction off the Reds jerseys on their website beginning on Monday, Oct. 11. The jerseys will include the names of 20 different players, including Boston Bruins players Andrew Bodnarchuk, Zach Hamill, Jeff Penner, Jeremy Reich and 2008 first-round pick Joe Colborne.
