The saga between the New England Patriots and offensive lineman Logan Mankins may be coming to an end soon with a little help from an outside source.

According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, the veteran guard was advised by the NFLPA to report to the team and end his holdout before Nov. 16

The Players' Association is also advising San Diego Chargers receiver and fellow holdout Vincent Jackson to report as well.

The NFLPA is advising the duo to return in order for the players to accrue another year of league service, something that is essential for them to be able to enter unrestricted free agency.
