Brandon Marshall made headlines prior the the NFL season when he said that he would try out for the NBA if the NFL had a lockout prior to the 2011 season.
If the NBA is the league that locks out, Nate Robinson may look to make the opposite move.
"It all depends on this lockout," Robinson told The Boston Globe. "If we have a lockout, you might see a lot of guys, including myself, try out and see where it takes you, just see if you can do it or not. You never know what can happen."
Robinson was a two-sport athlete all through high school, winning Seattle Times Class 3A Player of the Year in both football and basketball.
He went on to play both as a freshman at University of Washington, but ultimately chose hoops.
At UW, he didn't get to do what he loved to do most on the gridiron.
"But I honestly think if I’d have played my natural position, running back [in college], I would have still been playing football today," explained Robinson, a defensive back for the Huskies.
Robinson, however, isn't the only two-sport athlete on the Celtics. GM Danny Ainge spent time with the Toronto Blue Jays before committing to the C's in 1981. Glen Davis also expressed an interest in joining the NFL.
