Albert Haynesworth and Mike Shanahan are not a match made in heaven. They're not even a match made in hell. They're actually not much of a match at all, come to think of it.

So it's not shocking that the Redskins are looking to trade their $100 million albatross before they have to cut ties with him at some point.

That much was at least reported on Tuesday morning, with the NFL Network's Jason La Canfora saying the Redskins are lowering their asking price for a trade. Previously, the team had been seeking a second-round pick in exchange for the Pro Bowl defensive tackle.

Still, the team doesn't expect Hayneworth to be traded, which makes sense considering his NFL future does not appear to be in Washington.

One possible team thrown into the mix in the report was the 4-2 Tennessee Titans, for whom Haynesworth played the first seven years of his career.

The trade deadline is at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
