FOXBORO, Mass. — Patriots safety James Sanders will miss Sunday's game against the Ravens due to a hamstring injury that he suffered last week during practice.

Tight end Aaron Hernandez, who went through a series of pregame warm-ups conducive to a player who is a game-time decision, will play. Hernandez has not been on the injury report, so that’s a situation worth monitoring throughout the game.

The Patriots will also be without running back Thomas Clayton, offensive lineman Mark LeVoir, defensive lineman Kyle Love, offensive lineman Rich Ohrnberger, wide receiver Taylor Price, running back Fred Taylor and cornerback Terrence Wheatley, who are all inactive.

Wheatley returned to practice this week for the first time during the regular season after missing a huge chunk of time with a foot injury. This will be the fifth consecutive game he's missed this season.

Also, linebacker Jerod Mayo spent a short amount of time on the field warming up with Patriots trainers, but his session was far less intense than Hernandez's workout.

Sanders fully participated in Wednesday's practice, but he was limited Thursday and Friday. He worked out on the field earlier Sunday morning, but couldn’t get clearance to play. This is the first game he's missed this season.

Taylor is missing his second consecutive game after suffering the injury in the second half against the Bills in Week 3. Levoir (first missed game), Clayton (second straight), Love (third straight), Ohrnberger (second straight) and Price (fifth straight) were not on the injury report this week.
