Chuck Cecil wasn't happy when his defense was flagged for a neutral zone infraction in the second quarter against the Broncos on Sunday.
The Titans defensive coordinator gave the referees the middle finger — or the "Hawaiian peace sign" as the announcers called it — and the gesture was caught on live TV.
As a consequence, he has been fined $40,000 by the league, but that's actually not a terrible fine considering the NFL fined Titans owner Bud Adams $250,000 for giving the "double bird" last year.
Titans cornerback Cortland Finnegan, though, says that the team may help Adams pay.
"I'll let him answer how he feels about that. He's an emotional guy. We rally behind him, and he's been great to us. We've got to go out and execute his game plan and fly around. You've seen that the first four games. We respect him, and we thank him for that," Finnegan said.
"I know all the guys won't mind chipping in for our defensive coordinator," Finnegan continued.
