Making a triumphant return to Foxboro, the wide receiver’s presence alone in a Patriots uniform would have likely sufficed, but Branch stole the show with a nine reception, 98-yard performance. Not only that, but Branch caught a pivotal touchdown from Tom Brady in the second half.
The duo made it look effortless out there against the Ravens despite going five years without working together. Many thought that the trade for Branch would make the Patriots better offensively, and if Sunday is any indication, that is certainly the case.
Branch was one of Brady’s favorite targets in his first New England stint and they seem to be picking up where they left off. In fact, the duo’s relationship was historic during the Patriots dynasty of the early part of the decade.
