Test Your Knowledge of Recent Bruins Home Openers

While the Bruins techincally opened their home schedule in Prague, they officially open the TD Garden for business Thursday night when the Capitals come to town.

It’s always a big deal when the Bruins open their home schedule, something that is even more amplified this season. It’s hard to imagine that the B’s last skated on Garden ice on Oct. 29. And of course, they haven’t played a meaningful game since Game 7 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals last May against the Flyers.

In short, it’s been a long time coming for the Bruins to be back in front of their home fans.

The home opener is always special and it usually comes with its share of memories for Bruins fans. At the beginning of the 1995-96 season, the Bruins opened their new home, the FleetCenter, which is now the TD Garden.

The year before though, the B’s played a memorable opener — their last in the old Boston Garden. One Bruin legend stole the show scoring a hat trick in the Bruins’ latest season-opener.

Do you know which Bruin scored that hat trick?
