Tim Thomas Undefeated in First Five Starts for Bruins

Tim Thomas Undefeated in First Five Starts for Bruins The last Bruins goaltender to record wins in his first five games was Tiny Thompson in the 1937-38 season. Now, 73 years later, Tim Thomas has matched that milestone and it doesn’t look like he’s slowing down any time soon.

Thomas has continued his stellar performance in net for the B’s this season, recording his second shutout of the year in the 2-0 victory over the Maple Leafs on Thursday. Thomas was chattering like a kid after the win, thrilled with the mere fact that he’s out there playing.

“It’s fun to play, you know,” Thomas told reporters after the game. “We had a 2-0 lead, and I couldn’t afford to give Toronto a goal because I didn’t want to let them back into the game.”
