Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore Violate NCAA Rules by Meeting Iowa Recruits The University of Iowa doesn’t exactly have it like USC or University of Miami when it comes to recruiting.

It may be a beautiful college in a great college town, but the lack of good weather, celebrities and trendy clubs is a lot to overcome.

The Hawkeyes, however, have some secret weapons — Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore.

According to the Des Moines Register, Kutcher and Moore met with basketball recruits while attending the Iowa-Iowa State football game on Sept. 11. One of the recruits, Josh Oglesby, committed to Iowa in the weeks following the visit.

Iowa has admitted to the wrongdoings and filed the requisite paperwork with the NCAA, and it seems unlikely that the school will be punished with any sort of severity.

For Kutcher and Moore, the scandal perhaps has been a good thing — solidifying Kutcher as the Hawkeyes’ official celebrity fan and distracting media attention from the turmoil and rumors surrounding their marriage.

Kutcher has had no comment on the incident thus far.
