Auburn, Oregon Sit Neck-and-Neck Atop College Football World

The Auburn Tigers and Oregon Ducks are both still undefeated, and experts are having a tough time deciding which one should be No. 1.

The AP and USA Today polls both place the Ducks at the top with the Tigers close behind them. The BCS standings also have Oregon ahead of Auburn for the first time all year. The computer rankings have Auburn in first.

Auburn’s Cameron Newton has long been a front-runner for the Heisman Trophy and is probably the best quarterback in college football. Yet, Oregon is still ahead of Auburn in yards and points per game.

Saturday saw the Ducks beat the University of Southern California and the Tigers defeat the University of Mississippi.
