Blake Wheeler Comfortable at Center, ‘Just Like Riding a Bike,’ He Says

Blake Wheeler Comfortable at Center, 'Just Like Riding a Bike,' He Says Blake Wheeler is known mostly to play at right wing for the Bruins, but with the recent shakeup in the offense, the team is depending on him to take over at center on the second line.

The Bruins face their first test without first-line center David Krejci, who is out with a moderate concussion, against the Penguins on Wednesday night. They'll look to Patrice Bergeron to move up into the first line spot, while Wheeler will be counted on to take on the center role on the second line.

For Wheeler, playing center comes naturally to him. The Minnesota native grew up playing the position, and even played center in college. He says he's not worried about the shift while Krejci sits out with injury.
