Braylon Edwards didn't act much like a leader on Sunday following the Jets' despicable 9-0 loss to the Packers, as the wide receiver left the locker room and refused to speak to the media.
Now he is trying to make up for it by not-so-constructively criticizing his teammates for an excessive amount of dropped passes this past Sunday.
Keith Armstrong of the New York Daily News reported Monday that Edwards "noted a sense of 'arrogance' among Jet receivers Monday and felt they needed to return to fundamentals and see the ball into their hands."
To be fair, Edwards has been holding onto the ball better this season.
Criticized heavily for dropping passes in Cleveland, Edwards has caught 22 of the 42 passes thrown his way this season. Of course, some of those incompletions are due to poor passes from Mark Sanchez.
Edwards also has his own theory on the recent offensive struggles. With Santonio Holmes, Jerricho Cotchery, himself and the emergence of Dustin Keller, he believes offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer is too concerned with making everybody happy.
"That definitely could be the case," said Edwards. "Maybe [Schottenheimer's] sitting back and trying to make sure the balls are being distributed equally."
