Bruins Goal Celebration Ranked Last in Eastern Conference

Despite having one of the best records in the NHL, the Bruins have been ranked last in the Eastern Conference goal celebration rankings recently compiled by Yahoo's Puck Daddy blog.

The ranking was based on uniqueness of the experience, whether or not there could have been a better celebration, quality of goal horn and goal song.

The editorial staff at Puck Daddy explains the sound of the Garden's goal horn as "something off the Inception soundtrack." At the same time they are surprised that the Dropkick Murphy's don’t come blaring throughout the arena speakers, calling it a "missed opportunity."

Maybe it is because the Bruins score so often that the celebration isn't as intense as some of the higher ranked teams.

The Carolina Hurricanes, who ranked first in the goal celebration rankings but are at No. 21 spot where it counts the most -– the Power Rankings.

The Buffalo Sabres, ranked 26 in Power Rankings, are ranked No. 2 in Puck Daddy's ranks.

The New York Rangers are ranked third and the Ottawa Senators fourth in the celebration rankings yet they are both at the bottom of the Power Rankings as well.

It seems that the teams who are having the toughest time scoring this year are the teams that are going the wildest when they actually do score.

It all makes sense now that the Bruins are ranked last.
