Carlo Ancelotti will not be scouring job boards any time soon.

Despite reports that the Chelsea manager wants to quit, Ancelotti brushed off the rumors, insisting he wants to keep his current job.

"These rumors are totally untrue. I don't know why they came out in the papers," Ancelotti told The Associated Press . "I've said a lot of times I like to stay here. I love this club. I have a lot of confidence in these players and this squad."

The British media speculated that he considered leaving due to issues with the front office over control of the team.

"My aim is to stay here at this club for a long time," Ancelotti said.

Ancelotti came to Chelsea from AC Milan 18 months ago. Chelsea won the league and FA Cup last year but has struggled lately, losing three of its last four matches in the Premier League.

"When the teams don't reach the right result, the team is under pressure. Obviously I am under pressure," Ancelotti said. "But I am focused on my job and want my team to play better than they are doing at this moment."

Chelsea's next Premier League match comes on Sunday at Newcastle United.
