According to People Magazine, the couple has confirmed that they are engaged to be married.
Simpson and Johnson began dating just this past May. She had previously been in a two-year relationship with fellow football player Tony Romo.
As for whether or not the former 49er tight end was "the one," Jessica was wary of repeating history when asked.
"I never go to that because I already went there, so, I'm not gonna jinx my own self. He's the one for me right now! I'm very happy, I'm in a great place and if right now could last forever, I'd take it."
Simpson's ex-husband, Nick Lachey, announced his engagement to long-time girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo just a few weeks ago.
