Four Bruins Named to NHL All-Star Ballot, Fan Voting Starts Nov. 15

NHL fans will soon get to vote for the league's best players with just a click of a button, as online voting for the NHL All-Star game begins Nov. 15.

Voting will be open until Jan. 3. Until then, fans can vote for six player (three forwards, two defensemen and a goalie). The six players with the most votes will be named first NHL All-Stars.

There is no limit to the amount of times a person can vote, and the NHL is taking advantage of social media and mobile technology to get more votes.

For the first time, fans all over the world will be able to vote through the NHL’s Facebook page, while people in North America will also have the option to vote via iPhone, Android or Blackberry.

Facebook voting will be tiered. Voting for forwards will take place from Nov. 15-29, defensemen from Nov. 30-Dec. 12, and goalies from Dec. 13-Jan. 3. 

Each team has at least two players on the All-Star ballot, with the Blackhawks leading the league with six eligible players.

The Bruins landed four players on the ballot, with forwards Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci leading the way up front, with defenseman Zdeno Chara and goaltender Tim Thomas also making the list.
