Everyone loves a great desperation football play — especially when they actually work.

In a game-ending miracle reminiscent of "The Play" from the infamous 1982 Cal-Stanford game, Encino (Calif.) Crespi High beat Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame 34-28.

The play also jolted Encino into the playoffs and left Sherman Oaks out of the hunt.

Watch as Encino quarterback Kenny Stackhouse drops it off to Michael Davison, who ends up running about 50 yards (forward and sideways) until he laterals it to the speedy Terrence Williams, who takes it the rest of the way for the TD.
