This should serve as a warning to all the players on the Melville Celtic roster. Get the heck out of dodge when the goalkeeper has the ball.

During a game in Ireland’s CCFL Division 3, the Melville Celtic B goaltender collects the ball from teammates, attempts to clear it and hits a teammate off the back of the head causing the ball to soar over the goalkeeper and into his own goal.

The goalie knew it was a bad kick right when he let it go. At first, he seems dazed at what just happened. But he quickly snaps back into action and tries to stop his own kick from going in his team’s net but unfortunately he was too slow. He scored on himself.

Who knows why the goalie was in such a rush to get the ball out of his hands. Maybe he’ll think twice before punting next time.
