New York Islanders broadcaster Howie Rose let his feelings be known on Sunday as the Islanders were handed their 13th consecutive loss.
During the broadcast, Rose, who has also been the Mets’ play-by-play announcer for 15 years, was caught saying that he wished it were spring training.
“Let me know how this game turns out. I don’t particularly care,” Rose said.
Rose later apologized on-air, saying that the comments were focused on technical difficulties that the crew was having.
“If you’ve been watching the Islanders lately, you know we’ve all been in a frustrated mood,” Rose said.
As the announcer for the Mets, you’d think Rose would be used to losing streaks.
