Jason Allison Led Bruins as Captain Between Ray Bourque and Joe Thornton

Following in the footsteps of Bruins longtime captain Ray Bourque were some pretty big shoes to fill, but someone had to take on the daunting task of leading the Bruins into a new era.

Saturday's The Four's Trivia Question of the Day asked fans which Bruins player wore the 'C' after Bourque was traded to the Avalanche in 2000. Young phenom Joe Thornton took the reins in 2002, but there was one player in between who led the team for one season.

That player was center Jason Allison, who played five seasons with the black and gold. Allison was named Boston's captain on Nov. 8, 2000 and served in that position until Oct. 24, 2001, when he was traded to the Los Angeles Kings.
