NEW YORK — The lawyer for Jenn Sterger says she will not meet with the NFL on Monday, and her manager says the legal team for the former New York Jets hostess still is conducting its own investigation into inappropriate text messages and photos allegedly sent by Brett Favre.

Sterger lawyer Joseph Conway says there's "nothing new right now" to warrant a Monday meeting, but has said "we do have a dialogue with the NFL in terms of a potential meeting."

Phil Reese, Sterger's manager, said Monday that he's hopeful a person who knows how Favre got Sterger's personal contact information will speak to them this week.

On Saturday, Reese said it's likely Sterger would meet with the NFL by the end of this week.

The NFL is examining whether the Minnesota Vikings quarterback sent Sterger suggestive text messages and lewd photos while he was with the Jets in 2008.
