ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Michael Shaw scored on a 1-yard run, Tate Forcier threw a 2-point conversion to Junior Hemingway and Michigan's defense stopped the potential tying 2-point try to lift the Wolverines to a 67-65 triple-overtime win over Illinois on Saturday.
Mikel Leshoure ran for a touchdown to draw the Illini within two. On the conversion try, Michigan put a heavy rush on Nathan Scheelhaase, who flipped a depression pass incomplete.
